POT OF BLACK CLAY explores the story of BALLADYNA by Juliusz S�owacki as a fractured series of recollections on the cusp of the play�s ending. Dreamlike, psychological and sometimes grotesque, the performance questions the process of choosing one�s identity, pulled between the perceived demands of responsibilty and a desire for freedom. Staged in a minimalist fashion with only two actors, the piece is situated somewhere between the original Romantic tragedy and a modern Existential comedy; alternatingly absurd, emotional and surreal. (approx. 1 hour)
